Brugada Algorithm: Ventricular Tachycardia vs. Supraventricular Tachycardia with Wide QRS

Four sequential steps applied in order: the first one that is affirmative diagnoses ventricular tachycardia and stops the algorithm. When in doubt, any wide QRS tachycardia is treated as ventricular.

Required inputs

The inputs this calculator asks for inside the app.
VariableExample value
Step 1 · Absence of RS complex in all precordial leads
Step 2 · Interval from the beginning of the R to the nadir of the S greater than 100 ms in some precordial
Step 3 · Atrioventricular dissociation (or capture or fusion beats)
Step 4 · Morphological criteria for ventricular tachycardia in V1-V2 and V6

Run the calculation in the app

This page explains the score but does not run it. In Epistemis, the calculator validates units, flags values outside physiological ranges, and provides the interpretation that a number alone cannot convey.
