Delete your account and data

Last updated: 9 July 2026 · Applies to the com.medatlas.app (Android) and com.medatlas.ios (iOS/iPadOS) apps, both Epistemis, and to the web/PWA version.

In short: You can delete your Epistemis account and all associated data straight from the app, at any time, free of charge. You can also request it by email. Deletion is permanent.

This is an English translation of the Spanish original. If the two ever diverge, the Spanish version prevails.

  1. Open Epistemis and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to Settings → Account and syncing.
  3. Tap “Delete account”.
  4. Confirm. Your account and your cloud data are permanently erased.

If you only want to erase the data stored on the device (without deleting the account), use Settings → Erase everything. And you can download a copy beforehand from Settings → Export data.

Deleting data without closing the account

If you do not want to delete your account but do want to erase your data, there are two routes:

  1. Data on the device: go to Settings → Erase everything. This removes progress, notes, favourites, highlights and cards stored locally, keeping your account active.
  2. Data in the cloud: after erasing the local data, sign out without syncing again, or write to soporte@somatryx.com stating which data you want removed from the cloud. We will handle your request within a maximum of 30 days, keeping your sign-in account.

Before erasing anything you can download a copy from Settings → Export data.

Option B — Delete the account by email

Write to soporte@somatryx.com from your account's address, with the subject “Delete Epistemis account”. We will verify your identity and delete your account and associated data within a maximum of 30 days.

What is kept, and for how long

After deleting your account, we keep no identifiable personal data. Google Firebase, as our provider, may retain technical logs and backups for limited periods under its own policy, after which they are permanently removed. We do not keep your email, your notes or your progress once deletion is complete.
