Initial workup

Immediate capillary glycemia; neurological assessment and urgent neuroimaging (stroke code).

red flags

Sudden onset aphasia or dysarthria → time is brain: activate stroke code.

Standard management

  • Stroke code — if it has a sudden onset
  • Glucose — rule out/treat hypoglycemia
