Initial workup

Clinic; rhinoscopy. Allergic study or breast CT if persistent.

red flags

Persistent unilateral rhinorrhea, epistaxis or severe facial pain with high fever → study.

Standard management

  • Saline solution / nasal washes — basic measurement
  • Antihistamine / nasal corticosteroid — allergic component
  • Decongestant — short use (<5 days)
