Initial workup
Characterize the lesion (does it disappear under pressure?), mucosal involvement and general condition.
red flags
Petechiae/purpura that do not whiten with fever and poor condition → meningococcal sepsis (vital emergency).
Standard management
- Remove the suspected drug — support; antibiotic if sepsis
