Initial workup

Reactants (CRP/ESR), rheumatoid factor, ANA, uric acid; joint pattern.

red flags

Polyarthritis with fever, rash or systemic involvement → rule out autoimmune disease/infection.

Standard management

  • NSAIDs — symptomatic
  • Refer to rheumatology — yes persistent inflammatory
