Initial workup
Locate the bleeding point; TA and antithrombotic review; hemostasis if recurrent.
red flags
Abundant posterior epistaxis or with anticoagulation and instability → urgency (risk of aspiration/anemia).
Standard management
- Compression and tamponade — correct coagulation; cauterize if visible vessel
