Initial workup
Gram stain and culture/PCR for gonococcus and chlamydia; screening for other STIs.
red flags
Also treat your partner and rule out other STIs; discharge with fever and testicular pain → epididymitis/orchitis.
Standard management
- Ceftriaxone — gonococcus coverage
- Doxycycline/azithromycin — Chlamydia coverage
