Introduction and Analysis Methodology

Therapeutic decisions in hematology require a deep knowledge of the cellular mechanisms of coagulation, erythropoiesis, thrombopoiesis, and trace element metabolism. This section sets out the methodological framework of the pharmacological sheets of this vademecum.

File

Each monograph compiles data validated by reference regulatory agencies (EMA, FDA) structured to facilitate clinical decision making and precision dosing in situations of complex comorbidity (renal, liver failure or cross pharmacokinetic interactions).

Structure of pharmacological analysis

Throughout the document, the pharmacokinetic parameters of each active ingredient are systematically analyzed using standard metric units and the most stringent pharmacodynamic classifications:

  • Molecular mechanism: enzymatic cascades, cellular receptors and direct targets.
  • PK/PD profile: elimination half-life (t1/2), renal clearance, hepatic metabolism by cytochromes and bioavailability (F).
  • Safety: toxicity, adverse reactions and FDA risk categories in pregnancy.
