Pneumonia Severity Index (PSI / PORT)

Twenty variables that divide community-acquired pneumonia into five risk classes. It is more laborious than CURB-65 but much better at identifying low-risk patients who can go home: that is its value.

Run the calculation in the app

This page explains the score but does not run it. In Epistemis, the calculator validates units, flags values outside physiological ranges, and provides the interpretation that a number alone cannot convey.
