Sudden 'thunderclap' headache, worse than ever, with fever, neurological deficit, new age >50 or immunosuppression → urgent study.
Standard management
- Paracetamol / NSAID — mild-moderate crisis
- Triptans — moderate-severe migraine attack
- Metoclopramide — nausea associated with migraine
