Initial workup

CBC, liver and kidney function, TSH; If it is persistent without lesions, rule out a systemic cause.

red flags

Itching with constitutional syndrome, night sweats or lymphadenopathy → rule out lymphoma.

Standard management

  • Emollients and antihistamine — treat the underlying cause
